What is a moon phase watch?
A moon phase watch displays the sunlit portion of the moon as observed from Earth at any given point during each 29.5-day lunar month. That's the time it takes to get from a new moon, when it's not visible, to a full moon and back again.
How do I care for the ebony wood?
The nicest thing you can do for the ebony wood in your watch is keep it properly conditioned and from any temperature extremes. Luminius recommends using Tung Oil or Lemon oil once or twice a year - or more regularly if it starts to get grubby.
Using a soft cloth, pour 1/2 teaspoon of your chosen oil onto the cloth and then massage the cloth over the surface of the wood to keep its lustre.
Can this watch get wet?
This watch has been rated at 3Bar (30 metres). The timber is seasoned and sealed. However, we recommend you play it safe. You can spill your Vodka on it, but we don't recommend taking it for a shower or a swim at the beach.
